The Kapıkule Border Gate is Türkiye’s primary entry point to Bulgaria and, by extension, to Europe. As one of the busiest border crossings in the country, Kapıkule plays a vital role in facilitating foreign trade with Europe and is a significant hub for cultural and tourism exchanges. It also serves as a critical point for expatriate Turkish citizens traveling to Türkiye from Europe, particularly during the summer months. Covering a total area of 403,900 m², Kapıkule Border Gate accommodates traffic on 23 platforms—12 exit and 11 entry platforms for cars and buses, and 14 platforms for trucks (TIRs), including 8 exit and 6 entry lanes. This infrastructure ensures efficient traffic flow and supports the gate's high traffic volumes year-round.

Two commercial buildings—one in the passenger section and one in the TIR section— covering a total area of 19,900 m², offer a wide variety of services. These include Duty- Free shops, food and beverage areas, markets, souvenir stores, a foreign exchange bureau, a barbershop, ATMs, telecommunication service shops, and insurance agencies. These facilities ensure that both drivers and passengers at the Kapıkule Border Gate have access to a modern, comfortable environment where they can meet personal needs such as restrooms, showers, and a mosque, while also enjoying convenient shopping options.

In line with the communiqué issued by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, commercial vehicles transporting export goods can refuel at the largest fuel station in Türkiye, benefiting from exemptions on SCT and VAT under export incentives. The station is equipped to serve up to 24 commercial vehicles simultaneously.

Kapıkule, originally modernized by our company in 2008 and opened in 2009, continues to be a cornerstone for trade, logistics, and human mobility between Türkiye and Europe. The extensive renovation and expansion efforts completed in 2020 have further enhanced its role as a critical gateway.
